Biographies of the Board
Bryce Kam '12
Bryce Kam '12 is a prospective political science or computer science major hailing from the great city Hong Kong. When he's not musing over articles on politico, he enjoys debating, tennis, quizzing people about world capitals and the odd game of Mario Kart. Bryce's interest in politics stems from his desire to better understand Hong Kong's sticky political situation (essential reading here) as well as from copious amounts of time spent at Model UN. He joined SPU because he believes in the value of discourse as an intellectual and stimulating process.
Victor Luong '12
Victor Luong '12 is from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and went to boarding school where Mel Gibson filmed “Signs.” He will major in International Relations and minor in Drama. If he's not taking a siesta, he's probably reading or rehearsing for plays. He joined SPU to promote what he finds most admirable about American political ideals, - an active and educated electorate. It also offers both good debate and good food.
Erin Olivella-Wright '12
Erin Olivella-Wright '12 is a sophomore majoring in Political Science. Outside of SPU, she is an active member in Stanford in Government, Sophomore Cabinet and Chi Omega Sorority. She enjoys playing intramural volleyball and wants you to know you should go to Sophomore College!
Salman Razzaque '11
Salman Razzaque '11 is a junior majoring in Biology of all things. He is extremely passionate about politics and debate. He took Professor Chip Blacker's Sophomore COllege course and wants you to know that the course was the source of his passion for politics. In his spare time, he devotes his energy to rooting for the Chicago Bulls.
Zhe Zhang '10
Zhe Zhang '10 a Senior majoring in Environmental Economics and MCS. The reason he loves being a part of SPU is that discussions are one of the greatest sources of learning. Everywhere, there exist multiple points of views and it is his goal to explore these points-of-views as best as he can to expand his perspective. He believes SPU holds a great spot in campus life for being one of the only open debate groups that brings difficult issues to the table in order to force us to consider new perspectives and fresh thoughts.
May Soe '11
May Soe '11 is majoring in Economics, with a minor in French. She joined SPU hoping that she would be able to raise awareness about international issues since she is an international student from Myanmar. Whenever she is free, she likes to read, play the piano, and watch Taiwanese dramas. With regards to the future, she looks forward to running a successful business and helping Myanmar's poor.
