SPU Team Fall Recruitment 2009

Apply to be a member of SPU's 2009-2010 Executive Team. As a member of the Executive Team, you will be an integral part of the SPU team and be responsible for working with Vice-Chairs to organize and market debates to the Stanford community. How Many Animals Fit on a Farm?

"In the September/October edition of Stanford Magazine, President John Hennessy wrote a column posing the question of whether it is time to expand the undergraduate class at Stanford. He charged a Task Force to study the idea and consider the implications that such a move would have on Stanford and the undergraduate experience." Source & More Info.

The Task Force expects to present its recommendations by the end of this calendar year. Given the effects such a decision may have on the student body, and the interesting questions about the nature of our education it raises, SPU decided to bring leading voices on campus together to discuss the issue. The Iraq War: Five Years On

SPU's first event considered the current progress in the Iraq War and the future strategies required to end the war in the most optimal condition. The event was well-attended with over 60 students coming to listen to five speakers give their own perspectives on the issues. Learn more.
